The Housing Task Force has worked over the last year with designers to create concepts for housing redevelopment. Tell us your priorities:

What type of retail or services are most needed at or nearby Allegheny Dwellings? Residents have told us they would like to have access to:

Early Childhood education center

After-school and/or summer programs

Computer access / community room

Convenience store / fresh food market

Health / wellness / doctors office

In addition to redevelopment at Allegheny Dwellings, the Housing Plan will include concepts for about 100 mixed-income housing units with several sites being studied. What other types of improvements need to be in place for new housing to meet the goals of the Choice planning process:

Small pocket park / plaza with seating

Access to transit and improved bus stops

Access to retail, stores & services

Access to employment & job training or small business development

Sidewalk improvements, ability to get around easily

Enough space for off-street parking
